Client Terms of Engagement
These terms apply to the financial document analysis service provided to you.
1. Service
I provide independent financial document analysis only. This may include reviewing Form E disclosure, supporting financial documents, bank statements, identifying missing information, highlighting inconsistencies, and preparing structured summaries or suggested financial questions for follow-up.
2. Not legal advice
This service does not constitute legal advice, legal representation, reserved legal activity, or an expert witness opinion. Any legal issues or next steps should be discussed with your solicitor or other appropriate legal adviser.
3. Scope of work
The scope of work will be agreed with you in advance and may be limited by page count, time, and the documents provided. I can only comment on the material made available to me.
4. Fees and payment
Fees will be agreed in advance. Payment is due [in advance / on receipt of invoice / 50% in advance and balance on completion]. Work will begin once payment has been received, unless otherwise agreed.
5. Turnaround
Estimated turnaround times are approximate only and depend on document volume, complexity, and availability of information.
6. Client responsibilities
You are responsible for ensuring that the documents you provide are complete and that you have authority to share them with me.
7. Confidentiality
Your documents and information will be treated as confidential, subject to legal obligations, regulatory requirements, and the use of service providers needed to operate the business securely.
8. Data protection
Your personal data will be handled in accordance with my Privacy Notice.
9. Retention and deletion
Documents and personal data will be retained only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose of providing the service, dealing with queries, keeping business records, and meeting legal, tax, or regulatory obligations.
10. Limitation
This service is intended to assist with financial document organisation and review. It does not guarantee any legal outcome or the identification of concealed assets or wrongdoing.
11. Acceptance
By instructing me, sending documents for review, or making payment, you confirm that you accept these terms.
